We can help you with any HVAC projects at your home or business.
West University Place is located south of 69 but within the 610 loop. Locals refer to it as “West U,” and living there means enjoying a unique Greater Houston neighborhood with a real sense of community. Our HVAC technicians go to West U to help with the air conditioning and heating services for the residents who live there.
West U just celebrated its 100th year of existence as a city with a number of festivals and celebrations during the year. Pride in their community is just one of the features of living in West University Place.
When we go to West U on an HVAC service call, one of the things we notice is that the streets are named after great literary figures and historic colleges. Coleridge, Browning, Tennyson, and Milton Streets represent the literary giants, while Swarthmore, Oberlin, Marquette, and Villanova Streets have higher education significance. There are a number of “pocket parks” in the West U area that give the locals places to go with the family for some recreation and relaxation. Particularly popular is Colonial Park in the middle of the city. At the same time, the recreation center is located in the southwest corner of West U. The homes in the area are generally large, and the yards are well-groomed and maintained. It’s really a treat for us to help our neighbors out in this area.
The quality of the West U area parks is largely due to the work that the Friends of West Park do with fundraising and working on the parks. The annual Park Lover’s Ball is a part of their fundraising activities. The city really does make an effort to have something for residents of all ages to enjoy. The kids have a variety of physical activities, arts and crafts, and entertainment available to them. Adults can enjoy the Polar Bear Pool Party at the Colonial Park Pool on New Year’s Day. The older crowd has a regular calendar of fun activities and programs to help them stay physically and mentally healthy. There’s even a campout called “Fathers and Flashlights” that happens in November at the Elementary School Field with students and their families.
With all these activities, events, and local pride, it’s no wonder people want to live and stay there for decades. No matter where you are in your life, there is something fun and interesting to see and do in the West U area. So whether you live on Browning Street or Villanova, near the Poor Farm Ditch, or near Weir Park, we can come to your home and help you with your air conditioning and heating needs.
